Plan the climb. Talk on the way up.
Berg is project management and team chat in one workspace. Sprints, tasks, docs, goals and your company inbox, with the conversation right next to the work it is about.
One workspace instead of five tabs
Most teams spread their work across a tracker, a chat app, a wiki, a goals spreadsheet and a shared mailbox, then spend the day copying links between them. Berg keeps all of it in one place, with one search, one set of people and one set of permissions.
- Tasks
- link to the messages about them
- Messages
- turn into tasks in one step
- Docs
- sit inside the projects they describe
- becomes tracked work, not forwarded threads
Everything your team does, connected
Pick a part of the day. Each one is a first-class tool, and each one links to the others.
Five views of the same work
List, board, calendar, timeline and table views share one set of tasks. Subtasks nest as deep as the work does, custom fields become columns, and saved views keep each team's way of looking at it.
- Subtasks at any depth, with progress rolling up
- Eight custom field types, usable as columns and filters
- Saved, shareable views per project
Talk where the work is
Channels per project or team, threads, direct and group messages, and live presence. Mention a task key and it links both ways, so decisions never get lost in another app.
- Threads, reactions, files, mentions and saved messages
- Scheduled sends and reminders
- Turn any message into a task
Write it down next to the plan
Specs, meeting notes and wikis live in nested docs with version history and comments, in the same workspace as the tasks they describe.
- Slash commands and a fast editor
- Version history you can restore
- Private or shared with the workspace
Know what the work is for
Set goals with measurable key results, check in on progress, and connect them to the teams and projects moving them.
- Key results with start and target values
- Check-ins with notes
- Progress for every team at a glance
Company email that turns into work
Connect Google, Microsoft or any IMAP / POP3 mailbox. Reply, forward and file email in Berg, and turn a message into a task or share it in a channel.
- Works with any company domain
- Email to task in one step
- Private to each person
See how the work is really going
Throughput, workload per person, project progress and cycle time across every project you can see, with no dashboard to build first.
- Cycle and lead time, median and 85th percentile
- Overdue work per person
- Filter by workspace, project and period
Sprints, automations and reports, without a setup project
Run sprints with a live burndown
Sprint 7, 6 days leftPlan the sprint, start it, and watch remaining points fall day by day. Unfinished work moves on when the sprint ends, and velocity builds up over time.
Let routine steps run themselves
Rules run the moment something changes: assign the reviewer, add a label, set a due date, post a comment.
- When the status changes to In review
- Assign Maya Ahmed
- Add the label Needs QA
- Make it due in 2 days
- Comment: “Ready for review”
Recurring tasks
Daily standups, weekly reports and monthly invoices recreate themselves, on completion or on their date.
Task templates
Save a task with its subtasks and checklist once, then start the same process in any project.
Custom fields
Text, number, dropdown, date, person, checkbox and link fields, as columns, filters and on cards.

Questions, answered
What is Berg?
Berg is one workspace for projects, tasks, sprints, docs, goals, team chat and a shared company inbox, so the work and the conversation about it stay together.
How much does Berg cost?
Berg is free while it is in early access, with unlimited members, projects and tasks. Paid plans will come later, with plenty of notice for existing organizations.
Can I move from Jira, Asana, Trello, ClickUp, monday.com or Notion?
Yes. Export your work as CSV, create matching projects, statuses and custom fields in Berg, and bring tasks in through the REST API.
Is my data separated from other companies?
Yes. Every record belongs to one organization and every query is limited to it; private workspaces and projects add a second boundary inside your organization.
Does Berg work for non-software teams?
Yes. Marketing, operations, agencies and design teams use the same projects, views, docs and chat, with templates to start quickly.
